Another weekend of shooting and I have to say, I just love it....especially, when it involves running around with a huge lightbulb in Barcelona ;)
Yep, that was my idea for a project in University, with the given topic "Diversity". Just because of the fact, that I liked the word "Bombilla" (Lightbulb in Spanish) I constructed my whole shortfilm around it.
Well, in a city, there are loads of lights and if you think a little further, each person in a city is a light as well, as unique and different as he can be. Metaphore for light?A lightbulb.
Absolutely logic, isn´t it?Perfect...to add a little more diversity, I wanted people to sign it and write something spontaneous, a sentence, a word...we had everything, from "Love" and "Friendship" to "Merry Christmas". Some people were absolutely hilarious, like this one lady jumping into the picture, screaming "Happy people, we need happy people!", when we were complaining about people not being happy enough to sign our lightbulb. What a character that lady was...Sheila was her name, I will never forget that, for sure :)
Thanks to IKEA, I got "Fado" and made my own lightbulb....perfect, now I just needed somebody to run around in Barcelona and ask people to sign it. Weeell....who would be crazy enough to do something like that....Nam of course, colleague of crazy ideas from more or less the first days in Barcelona.
Well, the plan was perfect, I just forgot to consider, that I chose more or less one of the shyest people I know to walk up to random people to ask them to sign a huge lightbulb, in addition, her Spanish is still a little basic...weeell....whatever :)
I have to say, Nam proved herself to be very valiant and in the end, I think, she even enjoyed it. Well, at least I hope so. :)
However, there was a tragic end for Fado, the lightbulb....just when we wanted to shoot a second ending (brilliant idea coming to my mind just a few hours before), which involved Nam letting the lightbulb fall into a box with loads of cloth, she tried it, before I was finished arranging the camera.
Well.
The lightbulb didn´t go into the box.
Fado committed suicide.
And the camera wasn´t rolling.
F****
Well, it was an accident and I gave Nam Fado´s broken pieces...she said, she would try to fix it, but still....how tragic, the lightbulb, which accompanied us for 2 days, with all these signatures and sayings from all over the world, gone, smashed into pieces.....
However, I´ve got 1 hour of film, which has to be edited now...Fado will live on!Most special lightbulb on earth! ;) ....in memoriam of Fado.....
Still, the idea and the concept counts. I just hope, diversity is not as fragile, as this lightbulb ;)

As Time Goes By...
And damn, time goes by amazingly quickly...almost the middle of November, everyday the work is pressing more and more and Barcelona sometimes makes my brain so fuzzy, that I don´t really know where to begin...this project, that project, what the hell?
Keep in mind, where is my mind....
At least I´ve got internet at home now (that was such a pain in the neck for 2 months, being unable to talk to friends and family, work properly and everything...well, at least, that´s sorted out), but still, you have to handle that tool carefully, as it takes away so much time without your notice...
Scary, scary, but still unbelievably important for almost everything...Imagine the world with no internet, what would happen? All these ICQ addicts like me running wild, because they can´t see green flowers....not like the green fairy of the Absinth, but the green flower, drives you crazy too, I tell you...
Almost half of my time in Barcelona is over, so many things happened, which are buzzing in my mind now, so many people I met, new friendships developing....I think, I have to wander around in the city more, but my projects and the search for my internship glue me to my computer more than I actually want....
Well, I think, I should sleep now, it´s so sad sleeping half of the day, when there are so many things to see and to do....
Keep in mind:
Every day is a gift
Don´t forget to open it.

Back to BCN
Indeed, I´m back and I´m glad....I can´t stay somewhere for long, when I know, that my life is somewhere different...in addition all these memories of my old life keep floating up, when I visit all these for me so well-known places.
How many lives can one person live? When can you say, okay, this was a life for me, now I start something different? It´s always connected to some huge change in your life...up until now, I could stay that I had a life in Austria, 1 year of life in Estonia, back to Austria again, then studying in St. Pölten and now BCN.....5 Lifes in total. Not bad for 20 years, I would say ;)...in average a change every 4 years.
As time goes by....looking at old pictures of me, I´m really astonished how fast everything has changed, me and everybody around me....changes are the only thing you can be sure of and this makes life worth living!
To be completely honest, I´m glad to be back to Barcelona, sunshine and warm temperatures and my life here, which is just starting to unfold itself.....suspenses are high how every day turns out and I love it!Still, now I think the major time of only partying is over as I have to make 2 shortfilms until mid-december...well, well, we´ll see how this turns out.
Let´s hope this city inspires me to something, which is as breathtaking as this place itself.

Birth of the English blog and pure happiness ;)
Well, as there are quite a lot of people, who can´t read the original blog, because it´s in German, I thought, I just make an English version as well...have to practise my English anyway and in addition, we want to be versatile nowadays, don´t we?
PURE HAPPINESS due to my finally working internet connection at home, how relaxing, if you don´t have to go to the university library to surf on the internet and can stay only until nature is calling and you have to pack up your stuff to take it with you. Got a little paranoia, that my stuff is stolen, since my mobile changed owner without my accordance.
So, welcome to the wide wide world blog, may many people read and enjoy you....sniff....they are growing up so quickly, aren´t they?
